Trina joined the MCCAC in July 2018. She previously served as Chief Sustainability Officer with the University of Alberta where she led the development of the Campus Sustainability Initiative and helped position the university as Canada’s Greenest Employer ten years in a row. Trina has served on the boards of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, Goodwill Industries of Alberta, and the Alberta Emerald Foundation. She is a designated director with the Institute of Corporate Directors, holds two masters degrees in business and forestry, and post-graduate certificates in change management and corporate social responsibility.
Amanda joined the MCCAC in November 2018. She previously worked as a full-time legal assistant while she completed her Bachelor of Management from the University of Lethbridge.
Outreach and Communications Coordinator
Hailey joined the MCCAC in January 2019. She previously was part of the Government of Alberta's Municipal Internship Program and worked as the Municipal Intern/Communications Coordinator at the County of St. Paul. She graduated from University of Calgary with a Double Major of Communications and Urban Studies. While at the University of Calgary, she volunteered at the Office of Sustainability, and was hired as an Engagement Intern. After completing the internship, she took the following summer to bike across Canada.
Program Lead, Renewables
Marc joined the MCCAC in May 2016. He previously worked with the Government of Canada in Western Economic Diversification and the City of Edmonton in Sustainable Development. Marc graduated from the University of Alberta with a BA in Environmental Studies and a Certificate in Sustainability. He also holds a LEED® v4 Green Associate accreditation.
Project Coordinator, Renewables
Stephanie joined the MCCAC in January 2019. She is currently completing her last term in the Alternative Energy Technology program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), and has previous experience working in the solar industry as a Project and Operations Assistant for Dandelion Renewables in Edmonton. Prior to the Alternative Energy Technology program, Stephanie worked in the technical theatre industry, in technical direction and production management. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Hons., in Theatre Design and Technology, from York University.
Program Lead, Energy Efficiency
Calvin joined the MCCAC in June 2017. He has experience working in the solar photovoltaic industry and holds an Alternative Energy Technology diploma and Project Management Leadership certificate from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). Calvin is also studying part-time in NAIT’s Bachelors of Technology in Technology Management degree program.
Project Coordinator, Energy Efficiency
Torrie joined the MCCAC in November 2018. He has previous experience working in the energy efficiency industry as a Program Coordinator for Reep Green Solutions, a not-for-profit environmental charity located in Kitchener, Ontario. He holds two degrees obtained from the University of Waterloo - a Bachelor of Earth Sciences (B.Sc) with a minor in Geography and Environmental Management and a Master of Climate Change (MCC).
Energy and Climate Change Advisor
Ronak joined the MCCAC in July 2019. Recently, Ronak worked at the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues, building capacity for communities to take on climate action initiatives. He has previous experience working in Alberta’s solar photovoltaic and geothermal energy industries. Ronak holds a Bachelor of Science, Specialization in Geology as well as an Alternative Energy Technology diploma.
