2017 TAME+ Energy Audit Incentives

January 3, 2017

Starting January 1st 2017, participants in the TAME+ program will receive an increased rebate toward the required Detailed Energy Assessment (Audit). The TAME+ program helps municipalities identify and implement energy saving opportunities in municipal buildings across Alberta. Energy efficiency retrofits supported through TAME+ are already saving municipalities thousands of dollars on their annual energy costs while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Applicants who complete an Energy Audit as a part of a TAME+ application in 2017 will receive a 50% rebate on the cost of the audit up to an increased maximum amount based on the building size. See the table below:

Building Area Incentive Maximum
Under 2,000 m2 50% of audit costs up to $2,500
2,000 to 5,000 m2 50% of audit costs up to $5,000
5,000 to 10,000 m2 50% of audit costs up to $7,500
10,000 mor greater 50% of audit costs up to $10,000

The TAME+ Implementation Incentive will continue to provide rebates up to 50% of the capital cost for the implementation of any measures recommended by the Energy Audit up to the maximum amounts described in the table below.

Building Area Incentive Maximum
Under 2,000 m2 50% of capital costs up to $25,000
2,000 to 5,000 m2 50% of capital costs up to $50,000
